The new i4x50 series scanners are all about productivity. The processing speeds have been upgraded, enabling them to handle larger volumes. With the brand new Kodak i4850, the flagship of the i4x50 series, new features such as the patch counting function are now available.
Ergonomics
The new larger control panel provides a clearer view of the functions and scanner status to improve the productivity. With the new interactive multifeed recovery, multifeed handling became easier than ever.
Built-in barcode reading at the driver level enables the recognition and transmission of up to four barcode values per page directly into business applications.
Features
The Kodak i4850 is bundled with Alaris Capture Pro Limited Edition software, enabling the scanner to retain a maximum rated speed with essential functions such as automatic orientation, automatic realignment and deskew detection.
The Intelligent Document Protection detects staples, paper clips or other blockages that can slow your scanning flow increases efficiency and productivity. IDP monitors the condition of paper being scanned, ‘listening’ for the sound of paper crumpling and stopping the scanner automatically prior to jams. This effectively avoids potential document damage. Thick materials such as cardboard and file folders plus extra-long documents fly through the scanner thanks to the straight-through paper path. Spend less time adjusting documents and more time getting your work done with controlled stacking technology

The Kodak i4850 is capable of handling an average of up to 125.000 pages per day, due to its throughput speed of 150 ppm, its ADF capacity of 500 sheets by using interactive multifeed detection.
