The i2S Suprascan II A1 BC20E book scanner is suitable for productive document scanning up to A0 format.

Ergonomics
The Suprascan II A1 BC20E features a CCD camera, LED lighting, a control station (PC, etc.), an ergonomic table, a book cradle suitable for scanning thicknesses of up to 20 cm (BC20E), an anti-glare kit, a USB foot switch and a colour test pattern. The operator is provided with an optimised workstation for increased productivity.

Image processing and features
The Suprascan II A1 BC20E features a significantly enhanced LED lighting system: embossed detail enhancement, anti-glare system, lighting only during the scan, etc.

No infrared or UV emissions are generated, ensuring full conservation of old documents. The Suprascan II A1 BC20Ehas been designed with the conservation of bound works in mind; there is no glass cover or hydraulic system, meaning that no pressure is applied on the document. However, it is possible to add a removable A1 glass cover for certain bound, folded or rolled documents that need to be kept flat in order to capture the image fully with no creases or shadows.

Performance
The Suprascan II A1 BC20E is a production book scanner for A1 format (1100 mm x 630 mm) suitable for scanning in B&W, grayscale and colour with an optical resolution of 400 x 400 dpi in A1 format and has a maximum resolution of 800 x 800 dpi in A4 format. It is capable of scanning a book in 6 seconds at 300 x 300 dpi in colour for A1 format. What is more, the Suprascan II A1 BC20E is "Metamorfoze" compatible, and is thus compliant with specifications based on international guidelines, including image conservation technical criteria and tolerances.
